Ooh, isn't it nice to have a space to just talk about yourself?
My name is Noelle Carter and (as of this posting) I am a 30 year old mother of one delightful child. I have been crafting since I could hold scissors and scrapbooking since I got married 6 years ago.
I live in Massachusetts and I'm available to teach scrapbooking classes and workshops in the Boston area. Please contact me at scrapplay@gmail.com if you are interested in my services.
I am also a Memory Works consultant. Visit http://noellecarter.memory-works.com see their beautiful selection of signature and premium brand products.
Why I Scrapbook:
I want to document my life and preserve my memories.
I need to do something with my hands.
OMG! I NEED that pretty paper!
Why I Blog About Scrapbooking:
To help the beginners out there who are totally overwhelmed.
We all need new ideas.
To share the things I love with others.
My husband doesn't want to hear about it!
My Scrapbooking Style:
I love coordinated product lines. Those perfectly mixed-and-matched layout in magazines thrill me, but I just don't have the time or the eye for color. Let someone else do the hard work. Let me play! I use pretty basic tools: a paper trimmer, a Crop-a-dile, and stamps. I will never drag out an expensive or heavy piece of equipment, so no sewing machine or Cricut for me! I'll also never spend a bazillion hours hand stitching my pages or dealing with embossing powders.
My style is pretty simple: Clear clean pages that higlight my photos and include room for journaling. I like a slightly vintagey, distressed feel, but not so much that my modern photos look out of place. I often use sketches from CK or Scrapbooks, Etc. to structure my pages and save me time. I LOVE all things shiny and embellishments, especially those with some texture. And most of all, I want my pages to be finished before I'm eighty!
